Its offical the race meeting for the 19th May has been cancelled due to the weather. The next meeting will be on the 9th June Qld Formula 500 Title

Speedway is in Mourning

Speedway has lost one of its best. Justin Smith took his own life on the 24th April much to early in life our thoughts are with his family and friends, he will be dearly missed by all. Justin was much loved by all in the speedway circles for his efforts towards the sport he loved.

Season Opener (DEMO DERBY)

Hello race fans well it is not long before the 2012 speedway season starts(19th May). The main event for our first meeting of the year will be the Demo Derby that was rained out on our last meeting of 2011. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Dates to remember 9th June Qld Formula 500 Title, 30th June NQ 4 Cylinder Title.

Speedway Rockhampton 18/02/12

Good to see Cairns being represented in Rockhampton last night by Johnno Collins (21) the results i got were the following Heat 1 Pos 1 finished 1, Heat 2 Pos 6 finished 2, Heat 3 Pos 2 finished 1, Feature Race Pos pole whilst running 2nd has a lose and got ROF not sure where he eventaully finished the night. There was plenty of carnage for the evening with a big crash in a amcar race where they had to cut the driver from the car. And there was also and incident in the pits where someone was working under a car when the car next to him reversed over his legs. So the ambulance was kept busy for the night.

The AGM for North Queensland International Motor Racing Association is to be held on Monday 6th February at 7.00pm at De Jarlais Hall, Cairns Showgrounds.

So if you have thought about becoming more involed at Cairns Speedway this will be a good opportunity to come along and join.
